Moms

Hello everyone! How are Y'all today? I was picking up my studio today and putting a stack of cards away and found one of my Mother's Day cards from this month. I got to thinking I didn't share them. I spoke about them on Facebook but never shared a picture. So here we go:

This is Fleur Anya from The Greeting Farms.

I have to be honest I was not sure I liked these little girls at first. But after ordering a couple of them I love them.
I stamped her with Momento Tuxedo Black ink on 110 lb white cardstock.
I colored her with my Spectrum Noir Markers.
I added Stickles in Glam Pink and Neon Green.
And the Rhinestones are from Stampin UP.
The cardstock is:
Stampin Up Melon Mambo and Crumb Cake.
The Pattern Paper is from my basket.
The Alphabet letters are from a Retired set from Stampin Up. And I got them when I first started out years and years ago so I have no idea of the name. The Mother's Day stamp is from Unity Stamp Co and both are stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink.
The flowers are from Prima of course and the Rhinestones on the flowers are also from Stampin Up.

For the inside of the card I kept it simple.

The flowers and Mother's Day Stamp are from Unity Stamp Co and are stamped in Melon Mambo.

Hope you enjoyed today's post.

Until tomorrow Y'all....................................

Mixed Media

Good morning everyone. How are Y'all doing? I am good. Finally being able to sit down and blog. Today is kind of a double post. I am posting as always for all of you that read my blog and two for a spot at a Design Team member. I am excited to try for this spot.
So lets get started.

Today I want to show you something I am fairly new to but am in love with. I found a new stress reliever. Mixed Media. When I watched my first video a few months back that was a tutorial on this I was like WHOA!!! I really need to do this.

So I started with gathering a few things to get started.

I started with a blank 12x12 canvas and a couple of paint colors I wanted to use. And of course a main element in mixed media or at least for me anyway Mod Podge.

I gathered some different paper patterns that matched each other out of my big basket of left over paper pieces.

I began my piece by covering the entire 12x12 canvas. I put a thin layer of Mod Podge all over the canvas first and then laid my paper down where I wanted it. Once each piece of paper is laid I add a thin layer of Mod Podge on top.

I just love the music sheet paper. Also I actually cut the flowers off a 12x12 sheet I had in my basket.

Both of them just matched the papers perfect. Once I laid the last piece of paper I then again added another thin layer of Mod Podge on top of the entire canvas making sure everything is laid down and secure. While it dried for a couple of minutes I cut pieces of the girl out. Her body and skirt. And I did try to match the paper colors up as well. Next time I may just through one together without matching. Just go with what I like.

So here is the girl. I did this layer just like the others a little Mod Podge on the bottom and more on the top. I then added her hair.

Her actually blended to good into the flower. So I added a headband and flowers.

I then added some rub on letters and used a background stamp to stamp leopard print on different parts of the canvas.

Finally I added a little cupcake with my signature on the bottom under the girls dress.

And this is the final product. I was very pleased with the way it came out and I have tons of items to buy on my list for more mixed media. I have one more canvas started and hope to finish it this week. I do have some other stuff to work on as well. I have tons of new stamps in from Unity, Kraftin Kimmie and MFT. I am excited to get them stamped colored and posted.

Hope you enjoyed today's post and watch for more mixed media coming up.

Until tomorrow Y'all..............

Please hop on over to The Robin's Nest and check out their blog. Lots of really beautiful products and lots of fabulous ideas.

Sunflowers....

Good afternoon everyone. How are y'all today? I have been a little busy lately trying different things in the studio. I will be posting those new things in the next week or so. But today I wanted to share my new stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. This stamp is designed by Phyllis Harris for Unity Stamp Co and it is called Face the Sunshine

I couldn't decide on what color to use.
I colored them with my Spectrum Noir Markers.

Once I picked the pattern paper I was able to pick the girl I wanted to use.
The Pattern Paper is from Kaiser Craft and DCWV.
The Cardstock is Daffodil Delight from Stampin Up
The ribbon is also Stampin Up Crumb Cake Seam binding ribbon.

I have a few more stamps by this designer and will get them colored and posted soon.

Hope you enjoyed today's post.

A Zebra and His Stripes

Good Morning Everyone! How are y'all today? I am good. Had a busy week last week which is why I wasn't around. But don't worry I have a lot to post this week.
I got a couple of orders in last week and one of them was from
She brought back a few retired stamps and there was one I had been waiting. Well ok I wanted them all but.....
I also ordered this little guy you is not retired.
This is Stripes the Zebra.
I looked for him to link on here and I couldn't find him. That means one of two things. The coffee has not fully kicked in and I need my 2nd cup or he is retired.
Anyhow I am going to share him with you.

First off I stamped the image on 110 lb white cardstock with
Momento Tuxedo Black ink.
Then I began coloring him with my Spectrum Noir markers.
I used 5 colors to get the look I wanted. I used IG2, IG5, IG7, IG8, IG10.
I didn't use all on each one I just went with what blended well.
After the feet I then worked on his stripes. His ear is PP2, PP3, PP4. He nose is CR2, CR3, CR5.

Of course then I colored in the butterfly with PP1, PP2,  I think PP4, IB1, IB2, IB3 and GB2.

I wanted to add a little Stickles so I added them to the butterfly.

I zoomed in to you could see it better. Not a lot but a little. I used Glam Pink and Lagoon.

Then I took a piece of Stampin UP Basic Gray Cardstock and cut my card.
I used a piece of Stampin UP Basic Black as my second layer.  Then I took a piece of pattern paper from The Paper Studio pad Safari Untamed. I attached the Image onto the pattern paper and then onto the Basic Black and added my ribbon. Then added it to the Basic Gray Card.

What do y'all think? I just am in love with this little guy. I see a lot more cards in my future with this one.

Hope you enjoyed my post today.
Until tomorrow Y'all.............

Beach Time

Good Morning everyone. How are Y'all today? It's FRIDAY!!!!!!!
We are about 2.5 to 3 hours away from the beach. It is our summer get away. It is nice to take a drive down for a couple of days and just relax. I am counting the days until our next get away. I am excited to see how our shepherd will do this summer. I know Dolce is not fond of the beach. She doesn't mind the water but she does not like the sand... So anyway...

Today I want to share another Tiddly Ink Image with you.

I just love her. The beach theme is my favorite to work with.
After coloring her up I found these great patter papers to use.

Now I had to put it all together..

Okay so what did I use?
I printed the image on 90 lb white cardstock. I colored her with Spectrum Noir markers. I used Pattern Paper from The Paper Studio A Day at the Beach pad and Stampin Up Cardstock in Crumb Cake and Taken with Teal. The sentiment is from Stampin Up set (retired hostess) Happiest Birthday Wishes and punched out with Stampin Up Xl and Large Oval punches. A little bit of Stickles here and there and I done.

What do you think?

Hope you enjoyed today's post and
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.
Until tomorrow Y'all.......

Tiddly Inks and Watermelons

Good morning everyone!!! How are Y'all today???
We are good here. Like I said yesterday temps are rising. Our Texas Summer is here. Of course as soon as I say that it will be cold tomorrow...

Today I want to share another cute image I have been working with.

This is Anna Belle Sweetness from Tiddly Inks. It is a digi image.

This reminds me of those summer backyard BBQ's where everyone gets a big slice of watermelon.

So I used:
Image: Tiddly Inks Anna Belle Sweetness on 90 lb white cardstock II then used Stampin Up  cardstock in Real Red and Pattern Paper from The Paper Studio's Safari Untamed Pad and A Day at the Beach Pad. The Twine is from Stampin Up in Lucky Limeade. The Rhinestones are just from my little basket of embellishments. I used Spectrum Noir Markers to color the image. And a little Stickles to add a little glitter.
